Mainly Wet And Cold But Things Are Still Accomplished.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

This morning when the kettle popped it took me a few minutes to realize that Kathy was not going to wake up to her unusual alarm clock. The reason was that the sound of rain tapping away on our roof would override her body’s urge to wake up and make her want to sleep longer. With a morning appointment scheduled for 11:00 I knew I had no choice but to use the ultimate alarm to wake her. I walked in the bedroom leaned over her sleeping form and kissed her on the forehead. In that instant her eyes popped open and she was ready to start her day.

When she got downstairs she commented on the cool temperature but didn’t want me turning on the furnace. By the time we’d finished breakfast and our morning reading she realized that it would be too cool for our visitor to be comfortable so at that point we turned the furnace on just to take the dampness out of the air.
Every update was the same all day.
When we got up this morning the outside temperature was 55F (13 C) feeling like 54 F (12C) and it remained the same temperature throughout the day and will remain that temp until early tomorrow morning. The rain had started falling shortly after midnight this morning and is not supposed to stop coming down until nearly noon hour on Friday. Add the cool temperature with the high humidity it truly felt chilly today.
Truck across the street. Rain knocking leaves from the trees.
Since I couldn’t work on any outside projects today once my morning chores were completed I moved the truck across the street to allow our guest to park on our site before returning to the computer to continue editing the wedding pictures from last week. My goal is to deliver them this week before we leave for the southwest.

Due to the weather conditions Mary from Healthy Heals was delayed so she called to let Kathy know. When she arrived she reported she’d been tied up in traffic because of two traffic accidents caused by people not knowing how to drive in the rain. Due to Kathy having Diabetes and a foot problem our Health Care Provider pays for at Home care. After she finished taking care of Kathy’s feet she was given the Grand Tour and absolutely loved our new Home.

For lunch we had Vegetable Beef Soup, a Sandwich and a hot cup of Tea in an effort to take the chill off. Once we’d finished Kathy did the dishes while I started sorting Laundry. Like it or not we all have to do it so before we get overrun by it and there was nothing outside I could do so I chose to do it this afternoon.

With the cold damp weather, I was surprised to have the Park Laundry Room to myself. Looking around the Park as I drove over I noticed there were a lot of empty sites compared to last week. There were also a lot less personal vehicles around RVs that I’d seen being Winterized this past week.
Weather Forecast for the next week.
Since I had worn my raincoat to keep dry after I had the clothes in the dryers I walked back to the trailer bringing with me the delicate clothes that can never be put in a dryer. Before going in I moved the truck back on our site. Kathy was actually surprised to see me back so early. With over forty minutes before I needed to go back I managed to edit a quite a few more of the Wedding Pictures.

It was after 4:00 by the time I returned with our folded Laundry and even with the furnace on low there is still a chill in the air. For supper we had more of the Homemade Beef Stew that Kathy had made yesterday along with more hot Tea.
Homemade Beef Stew, Hot Tea, an Orange and Yogurt.
As of this writing it is still raining and is still 55F (13 C) feeling like 54 F (12C). With the rain continuing through tomorrow morning we’ll run some errands in order for me to accomplish chores here in the afternoon. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
