Wet Working Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

With not having to set the alarm last night to be anywhere this morning it helped the both of us to have a restful sleep so that by 8:00 we were both wide awake and raring to go. Looking out the balcony door from experience we knew it was about to start raining soon. By the time I had made the coffee and served our cereal there was no longer any doubt. Just to see what if anything different might be coming our way the Weather Channel confirmed our forecast for the day and throughout the coming night. Rain and more rain!
Even with the moderate temperatures the humidity was high enough to warrant us putting the Air Conditioner on to cool things a little so we’d be comfortable inside. Once breakfast was completed we headed to the computers and had finished all our reading by 10:00.
At this point Kathy started pulling things from the freezer as she had plans to do some baking. I worked on gathering data off one computer and filing it on the other in a file that I’m keeping. Now Kathy needed my assistance to mix some of the ingredients because her wrists are still too weak. Within minutes of placing the pie in the oven I returned to our office.
For some time I have been trying to get the printer we have in the trailer to operate wirelessly so this morning I spoke with somebody from the HP Company. I figured that I only needed to purchase a driver CD to load on the laptops to make it work. After explaining this to the representative at the other end of the line and giving them the model numbers and after confirming with their supervisors they informed me it had to be connected directly to the computer not through the network connection. I felt disappointed about that but as I’m typing this post I have an idea that I’ll try in the next few days.
The pie was completed and cooling and what is perfect for lunch in a cool apartment than nice warm Chicken Noodle Soup. Once the dishes were finished Kathy had the urge to continue cleaning the refrigerator. My hernia has been bothering me more every day and lessens when I’m sitting so I returned to the computer. For years we had been documenting of all things Doctor’s appointments but it just wasn’t working. Recently I figured how to make it all work and this afternoon I continued to make those entries in another of my Spreadsheets.
When it was suppertime we again teamed up to make homemade pasta sauce and have spaghetti for dinner with homemade Pumpkin pie ala mode for dessert. The rain has only eased slightly but has not stopped at all today and we’re sure the grass trees and flowers will all very much appreciate it.
Tomorrow the rain will be gone with warmer temperatures returning but we have a lot of running to do in preparation for the weekend and next week. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. For years I have kept all our medical and dentist appts on a spreadsheet. Helps me keep track of what the insurance people have paid and what we have paid.

  2. All that computer work is necessary, but so time consuming. Guess that's a good thing to do on a rainy day!

  3. Rainy days are good for getting "little tasks" completed. Could you send some to the Desert Southwest? It's so DRY here! :-(
