Productive Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

I surprised myself this morning when I slept until 9:00 a.m. As a fact, the reason I woke up was that I sensed Kathy had gotten out of bed. She had slept soundly most of the night while I had spent most of the night wide awake. Like I said in yesterday’s post it’s a habit that still haunts me from my working career. Bad Habit!
Following breakfast I headed out the door to go organize the basement of the trailer. The reason for this was equipment that had been removed before the start of the summer had to be put back in the trailer. Just tossing it in would have been a disaster so I planned to empty the basement and organize it.
Upon arriving at Guardian Storage where we store our trailer I was surprised to see a big Grader leveling out the yard. This summer after a number of rain storms it was to the point of needing boots if we went to the trailer because of large holes that resembled small lakes. By the time I left just before noon the trailer was organized and the yard was as smooth as a graded section of highway and no more holes.
When I got back home Kathy was busy getting lunch ready. She had stayed behind this morning to do cleaning around the apartment and other chores. We have been here in our apartment just over a year and have already had our rent increased. This will happen every year so we have considered downsizing to a single bedroom if necessary or moving to a different building all together. By keeping our rental costs down it gives us a better budget for travelling with the trailer.
When we moved from our home last year we had purged many of our belongings before. When we were arranging the apartment we found we hadn’t gotten rid of enough so we purged again. If we downsize again we need to purge more stuff that we have not been using the way we thought we would. Before the move it was difficult to actually tell what we had room for in the apartment after only seeing it for ten minutes the one time. We found out very quickly that we didn’t have the closets or storage we thought we did.
After lunch I help move a few larger items around so Kathy could continue her sorting and organizing. I also E-mailed our RV dealership about upcoming service and work that has to be done on the trailer when we bring it in for winterizing.
For some time I have been telling you how Kathy and I have been doing our Christmas shopping because it is only 101 days away. What I failed to tell you is that with no place to hide it from visitors we can only do one thing. Wrap them. Yes we have to keep them in our dining room so the gifts have already been wrapped. It saves a lot of guess work this way.
After supper we both settled down at our computers to catch up on our blog reading. Thanks for following along. Be Safe and Enjoy!
