Busy, Busy, Busy.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

This seems to be the time of year that some of us are cursed. The fact that there is only nine and a half hours of daylight does not mean we sleep more at night but less. Kathy sensed each time I got up last night but would soon fall back to sleep. Myself I fell asleep quickly after going to bed but was awake less than an hour later. I laid there until my back was getting sore. I sat in the dark of the living room twice until my back felt better only to lay awake in bed staring at the ceiling again. The last time I went to bed at 6:30 only to wake by 8:30.

After having breakfast and reading the blogs I had missed in the middle of the night I prepped the clothes before going downstairs to do the laundry. For it being the middle of the week all the machines were running but not a person was around. By the time I retrieved the mail there were a few people who showed up just as their machines were coming to the end of their cycles. Even after the wash was finished I had to wait for a couple of dryers to become available.

I was able to bring the mail up to the apartment and have a good visit with Kathy while having lunch before returning downstairs to fold the laundry. Kathy helped put it away so we could leave to run a few errands. One was a quick stop at the storage yard to check something at the trailer. Next we headed to the grocery store to restock our pantry.

When we got back to the apartment building it was a bit more challenging to bring everything up because we had to use the front entrance to the building. This morning contractors dug up the rear driveway to the building to run some new conduit to the parking lot. Luckily there was a grocery cart inside the service entrance that we were able to use.

It was nearly 6:00 when we walked in the apartment so while I put away the frozen and refrigerated foods Kathy put supper together. We watched the 6 o’clock news while having our supper and finished putting the rest of the groceries after we were done eating.
Our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.
It is now only 34 days until Christmas and today when I spoke to the Shouldice Clinic they said they be notifying me of an appointment before the end of the week. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Ashley looks wonderful - how proud you must be! She is a beauty, too.

I had ballet lessons as a kid and had the same pink toe shoes - it's a lot harder than it looks. I miss seeing the Nutcracker, I used to take my daughter to see it at Christmas time.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Kathy! :)
