Computers, Smart Phones and Visiting.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

I have no idea what is happening again. This is the fourth time this week Blogger will not allow me to upload any pictures to our post. I usually get it to work but not tonight.

After having a late shower last night I was too invigorated to be able to fall asleep so I returned to the computer and caught up on my reading before going to bed just after 1:00. Even going to bed that late I was still out of bed shortly after 8:00 this morning.

Again we weren’t in any hurry to be anywhere and with the cloud cover we were under we didn’t feel too enthused about doing very much outside today. We again settled in at the computers and did more than our share of morning reading.

We enjoyed a healthy sized bowl of Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch and were out the door by 12:30. Our destination was to our friends Kathie and Ross for two reasons. The first was to deliver the boards that I’d ripped on the table saw for them yesterday and the second was to get caught up on everything we’d missed out on while we were away in North Carolina. We talked of our trip, the kids and what’s going on in their lives and then we were talking Smart Phones. I call them “Dumb Phones” because the first ones we got “Rooked” into getting caused us so many problems and we didn’t even use them for anything but a phone. Maybe if we find better ones down the road our opinions might change but right now we’re way behind on those.

After visiting for nearly two hours we were on our way home when Kathy said we had to go to 7-eleven. Last year through the advice of George and Suzie we replaced Kathy’s cell phone with a phone from 7-eleven. We purchased the phone and bought our talk time and there is no contract. As long as you add additional minutes to the phone before the end of the year you maintain the same phone number and your unused talk time is carried over until you use them or you carry them over again.

As we were getting out of the truck back at the apartment we felt the odd droplet of rain falling but that was it. The temperature for our area only reached 70 F (21 C) around 5:00 this afternoon but with the cold north breeze it felt much cooler.

When we haven’t taken any pictures on a particular day we use pictures from past travels and I’ve been leaving notes of their location just above the word Krackers”.

For supper we added to a store bought thin crust pizza and were quite satisfied with it. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be a hot rainy day plus the truck is getting serviced. Perfect day for that. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Thanks for the shout, love the low price of my 7-11 phone. I just top up my time usually once a year but do it on line, no need to find a store.
