Appointments, Resolutions and Lacrosse.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

It seemed both of us had a hard time falling asleep last night and even though we both could have slept later this morning when I opened my eyes and saw that it was already 8:00 I knew it was time to get moving. We ate breakfast watching the Weather Network and finished drinking our coffees while reading our E-mails and a few morning blogs. Because of the time constraint we’d have to finish our reading later.

Luckily by the time we got on the road we didn’t have to worry about morning rush-hour or School buses. The traffic on the expressway was flowing freely with no slowdowns and we reached our exit in less than ten minutes.

We had an appointment with our financial advisor Mark at the TD Bank on Grand Marais for 10:00. We’ve known Mark for over nine years now and are always amazed at how he keeps our investments making money for us. Even outside of the banking industry we had become friends and often share stories of our families. He announced that he and his wife were expecting another child this coming August bringing the count to three and even took the time to show us pictures taken at a family outing.

Having heard stories of our RV travels so many times he surprised us this morning. He asked our opinion on a couple of local RV Dealers and some trailers he has been looking at. We explained what we knew and even gave some suggestions that he had not thought about. By the end of our meeting he had a better understanding of the type of trailer that would fit his family and if he needs any other expertise about RVing we’ll help guide him along.
Another shot on goal.
Back at the apartment after getting caught up on our reading on the computers I contacted the Rand McNally Company about our GPS. While we were still in North Carolina the power switch would not shut it down. Kathy figured that by putting in its carry case it could not read the signal from the satellites and it should stop working. Even with it in its own case and then another carrying case as well when we were heading back to the campground we could still hear it trying to direct us to our last destination. It still seemed to sense its location and did not stop talking until the battery died later that evening. They E-mailed us a shipping label to send it back to them.

We managed to watch the 6 o’clock News after supper and did more reading on the computers before heading out the door to go watch Tyler again play Lacrosse at the Forest Glade Arena. Their league is into playoffs starting this week and will be playing two games this week and next. The game didn’t start until 8:00 and the first period passed without a single goal being made. Both the goalies were in top form and were well supported defensively. Tyler would make fifteen shots on the net throughout the evening only to have the goalie stop each one. He also took a shot to his helmet from an opponent that the referees didn’t see but when he shoved back he was the one penalized. The final score was Tyler’s team winning with a score of 5 to 2.

Even though there had been no rain forecasted for our area for this evening when we came out to the car was covered with the remnants of a rain shower. We have had lots of rain for our area so far this year. I’m hoping it starts easing up a bit so that I can get some of my outdoor work completed before we leave on our next RV adventure. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
