Busy Prep Day.

Our Location today is Crystal River, Florida.

Normally Kathy and I have problems getting a decent night’s sleep before travel days. For the last three nights I have barely slept and can only hope that tonight I will go into a sound sleep.
I returned to bed just to lay next to Kathy after having read all the blogs published up until 7:00 this morning knowing that I probably would not sleep and I was right. Shortly after 7:30 Kathy woke up and we just talked before having our coffee and muffins for breakfast. The temperature outside was only 41F (5C) and we weren’t scheduled to be anywhere so went back to the computers.
By 10:30 I was sorting the laundry so that we wouldn’t be carrying any extra dirt with us when we leave for Largo in the morning. Once I was out the door to the laundromat Kathy started cleaning the inside of the trailer and cooking meals for the next few days that we only need to warm up.
These buds waited for warmer weather before opening.
I returned for lunch around 12:15 after getting things into the dryers. Of course Kathy had already finished making a nice hot bowl of Vegetable Beef soup to help us warm up. Even though there was clear sunny skies and no wind today there seemed to be a damp chill to the air. Our high for the day was in the low 60’s but everyone in the park was wearing sweaters or jackets.

Kathy always tells me I have big feet. Hate to run into whoever wears these.
Before 1:00 I went to fold our clean clothes as the dryers finished their cycles. Back at the trailer Kathy put the clothes away while I repacked our basement. Tuesday we had gone kayaking and yesterday we went for a ride plus our laundry cart and chairs needed to be put away. I even prepped the truck for towing and coupled it to the trailer.
Supper time I barbecue a couple of Sirloin Steaks while Kathy fixed the sides. Letting the water heater do its thing we watched the weather channel where they are presently tracking two more winter storms to the north of us. Our daughter and her family will be on the road early in the morning heading in this direction so we can only hope that the storm has already moved to the east of their route by then.
Kathy and I took a final walk over to the club house so she could do a book exchange. We didn’t take to long as the temp felt cold enough that we had Hot Chocolates to help us warm up back at the trailer. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  4. Yup...we caught up all the laundry too here in Big Bend. But the dryers at the laundromat barely heated up. ($2.00 a load and nothing was dry!) So I hauled it all back to the motorhome and hung things around on all the opened cabinet doors! Plus I put our towels in the smaller motorhome washer/dryer a few at a time to get them fluffier and softer.

Feels good to get those chores done so you can enjoy the travels!
