Exploring Day

Todays Location is Middlebury, Indiana, U.S.A.

After the heat wave that put a damper on our day Kathy and I visited with Gerry and Sandy in their trailer last evening. We talked of the adventures we wanted them to see and made plans to do so today. Kathy and Sandy were talking about crafts that they wanted to try while I was answering questions for Gerry about different things concerning the electrical in their trailer and ideas of a practical way to install their television in their bedroom.
Strangely their trailer is the same age as ours but has a drawer for the older tube-style television as apposed to the LCD model they purchased for it. On Tuesday we will all be visiting a RV Surplus store in Elkhart that will just be opening its doors so we both now have our shopping lists made. What a better place to have such a type of store other then in the heart of the RV Manufacturing Center of the U.S.A.
Early Class A Motorhome

After leaving camp in Middlebury we headed out to the RV Hall of Fame. Our GPS brought us to the location of what must have been a farming lane at one time but it got us there. Why it didn't bring us in the front road who knows. Kathy and I have been there before and were surprised as to how much it had changed. There were more exhibits of RVs from the past. Sandy and Gerry were impressed as it showed the progression in the developement of the RVs as we know them today.
A Class Interior

Today we also scouted the location out just to be certain our GPS could find it. Not Bad! The GPS took us to the building behind it in the shopping plaza. Guess we're playing Horse Shoes.
Now it was time for a late lunch so we stopped in at the Cracker Barrel at the front of the plaza. With a large selection to satisfy our appetites and cravings for sweets it looked and tasted so good I forgot to get any pictures until it was all gone and didn't think pictures of empty plates would sooth your curiosity.
After we settled our bills we sat outside for a few minutes until suddenly Gerry and Kathy we testing one anothers skills to a few games of Checkers. After some hard moves and even a tied game it was determined that they were both evenly matched.
Heading back towards camp we made a stop at the Middlebury hardware store. We found things from our shopping list for today but had to go to two RV supply stores. The first one was only a dealer and actually recommended us going to the second. The second store had some RV supplies that were super high priced with limited supply in stock mixed with used resale goods that were probably from someone cleaning out their homes.
In answer to a few comments on yesterdays blog. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System we use is by Tire Tracker and other than needing to add a signal booster has worked well and helped us avoid some nasty situations. The next answer is I try to publish the Redneck jokes every other day so that people don't tire of them, I don't repeat them shortly after posting them and my supply of the differrent Redneck jokes will last much longer.
After a light supper of hotdogs and reading blogs and the weather report for the area we are heading out to enjoy the best thing about camping a nice fire.  Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.

Krackers

You might be a Redneck if
