Doctor’s Office ASAP, Incredible Gas Prices, Big News and Watching The Weather.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

It was hard seeing any sunlight this morning when we woke to a sky filled with Clouds. At least there wasn’t a white blanket covering the ground like yesterday.

We had a heavier breakfast of Cereal before 8:30 this morning because we weren’t sure what we’d have for lunch. It turned out to be a wise choice. After finishing our only cup of Coffee/Tea at the Computers this morning I immediately did my morning chores then headed for my shower. We had a Doctor’s Appointment was for 1:00 this afternoon so I really didn’t have to hurry. I’d just lathered the Shampoo in my hair when Kathy opened the door to say the Doctor’s Office had just called and said to come in ASAP.

Twenty Minutes later we driving down Riverside Drive heading for the west side of Windsor. We were in the waiting room Fifteen Minutes later with Two other people both wearing Masks. We know Hospitals and Doctor’s Offices are the easiest place to catch things but nobody was coughing or sneezing so we’ll keep our fingers crossed.
A minute later we were all in separate Examination Rooms. Sounds like a good way of having Social Distancing. As another patient left the Receptionist immediately went in to disinfect the Room and even wiped down the Seats, Door Handles and Table. Even their daily hours have been cut due to the Coronavirus. Unlike most times we both had our own issues to talk about today before walking out with Prescriptions and another Appointment.

Rather then heading to Amherstburg where our Pharmacy is located we figured we’d wait until we go later this week. Instead we headed back towards the Apartment and stopped at the Pioneer gas station to top up the gas tank. Gasoline was going for $.685 a Litre. These are prices we haven’t seen since the Seventies.
It was past 1:00 before we were back in the Apartment so it was good we’d had a filling breakfast. We thought we’d have a filling lunch so while I made the Split Pea Soup Kathy served us each a huge piece of Raspberry Pie for dessert.

We headed to the Computers to get caught up on what we’d missed this morning. It was close to 3:00 when my Cell Phone rang. It was our daughter Rose wanting information about different things then she had some news of her own. She had just gotten back from her Doctor’s Office herself. Looks like we are going to be Grandparents again this Fall. This wasn’t planned but we are very happy for her.

We watched the 6 o’clock Local News before having Macaroni and Cheese for supper after 7:00. On the News they said the Gas Prices could drop again in the morning.

I called our son Kevin in Amherstburg to verify changing our visit to tomorrow because it will be Raining on Thursday. Now we have plans for a busy tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  5. We are very surprised your doctor is still physically seeing patients. Physical distancing? Strange. Around here we are all doing it by phone or video calls unless an emergency.
    Congratulations on the grandbaby news!

  10. We were notified by our doctor that when we have appointments we are to call them from the parking lot and wait. They will call us when they are ready to see us. Sounds like a good plan.
