It’s only right that when I can answer questions by Comments made on our Blog, that I do so.
The first comment was made by Jim about sleeping in his
Recliner or Bed at night. By starting the night in my
Recliner, it seems to give my Neck time to straighten
up and take away the Pain.
The reason I finish my night off in Bed, is there I am
connected to my CPAP Machine, that helps me breath better and
replenishes my depleted Oxygen Level. If I stayed in my
Recliner the entire night, I would feel totally dragged out
due to the lower Oxygen Level in my Blood
stream.
When I had the Hip Surgery, I spent the first Two Weeks home sleeping in my Recliner, because we had set up my CPAP in the Livingroom. The problem was that Kathy’s sleep was being affected, and she was waking up just to check that I was okay. Even now, she knows that I’ll be in bed soon, but until she senses my presence in bed, she is constantly checking for me. That means my sleeping in bed also helps Kathy out as well.
The next comment was made by Irene about doing the Doucettes (Plastic Containers that hold all the Medication and Vitamins we need to take). Like Len I have been filling them since we’ve been married, because Kathy was mixing them up. The Spreadsheet I often talk about is in a File that I keep track our Medical Histories, the Medication and Vitamins each of us take and what they are for, as well as what they do. I also cheated a little when we picked up the Meds at the Pharmacy, by marking the caps to show whether they are taken in the Morning, Evening or Both. It’s a lot easier when it comes to doing the Meds. I also take Vitamins that Kathy doesn’t, and she takes a double dose of others.
The Mix-Up
I had yesterday, was that I thought that Chore was not for
another week. The reason for doing so many Doucettes at a time
was when we were Fulltiming. Most Meds come in 90
Day supplies, so it was easier for me to do 52 Days at a
time, so it wasn’t always done on Saturdays.
Since our base is presently the Apartment,
it has varied between Six and Seven Weeks when the
stockpile starts to grow too big. Like you, Kathy depends on my
knowledge of the Medication and Vitamins to keep her
safe.
We enjoyed a Bacon/Veggie Omelette for breakfast. That was a lot of Dishes to clean afterwards.
I had a Fresh Pineapple to clean and chop, that we bought on Thursday. After that was finished Kathy suggested a lite lunch since it was nearly noon. We shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza that was a little skimpy on the toppings. I added freshly chopped Pineapple and Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. It was perfect.
I then documented the Spreadsheet as to what Medications and Vitamins are remaining after doing the Doucettes last night. I’ll have to call the Pharmacy tomorrow to order a New Medication for Kathy. The Doctor prescribed it Twice a Day, but didn’t send enough for more than a Week.
I started cooking a Pork Roast in the Crock Pot for supper.
It was already late in the afternoon by the time I had stored the Case, so I finally finished my Blog Reading.
From there I had to start sauteing the Potato Slices and Zucchini to go along wing the Roast. Again, it tasted wonderful and the number of Dishes to clean was high.
Looking for something interesting to watch on television we came across a Four-Part Documentary about the “Space Shuttle Columbia: The Final Flight”. Though it happened in our lifetime, this brought out a lot of information we were unaware of.
We have an early appointment in the morning, so it’s time to try to sleep.
The Weather Network shows that it will feel like 0 F (-18 C) tonight and that we could have 6 Inches of Sxxw on Wednesday.
Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment, unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion, or is Spam.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

He goes through them too quickly.
