Worst In The World.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Last night was a close second to Wednesday night’s sleep, but a long as I am getting my rest and feeling better in the morning, that is all that matters.

We had Cereal for breakfast before taking our Coffees to the Computers. There was a lot more reading to catch up on, plus we both needed to soak our feet in an Epson Salts Foot Bath. Not only does it help with foot ailments, it also helps to calm personal stressers in everyday life.

When we first started our day, there were leftover puddles from yesterday’s Rain that seemed to be drying up. By 9:30 everything was wet again and the puddles were growing in size. Around 11:00 the Rain stopped but there appeared to be a Haze in the air. Checking “The Weather Networkwhere they showed an Air Quality Alert, warning people to stay indoors as much as possible.

It was past 2:00 when we headed out the door with a few things of interest to take care of. The first was to drop off our Recycle in the Bins outside the rear entrance. It’s unbelievable how fast they fill up in a building the size of ours.

The next thing we did, was to have a late lunch. Wanting something different to eat, we stopped at Arby’s where we enjoyed their Reuben Sandwiches. It was nearly 3:00 when we finished eating.

We finally made it to Guardian Storage to collect our Mail. One was junk, while the other was my replacement Health Care Card.

Everywhere we went it was like we were driving around in a Fog the entire drive but you could taste Smoke.

Noticing the fuel prices were down, we stopped at the Pioneer gas station to top off the Car.

With Rush-Hour Traffic clogging the road ahead of us, I swung through the Walmart parking lot. That was when Kathy decided she wanted to go see if they had any pants that she needed to get. I dropped her off at the Main Entrance but couldn’t find a nearby parking spot, so ended parking by the Grocery Entrance. A few food stocks jumped into my Cart to come home with us. Kathy wasn’t so lucky.

It was past 7:30 this evening when we had Veggie Wraps for our late supper.

We then watched a few episodes of “Monk” then the “11 o’clock Local News”. The Weather Guesser explained that the Haze we were experiencing today was Smoke from the Wildfires from the Canadian Prairies. Air Quality is usually measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the worst. This afternoon Windsor hit 10.2, making it the Worst Air Quality in the World, even worse than India. It was so bad, it was difficult to see the Detroit Skyline from the Windsor Waterfront. By this evening the winds had shifted and brought us down to a 9. Hopefully tomorrow will really clear the air around us.

Words of Inspiration

My father, kept me home, out of trouble. I had exactly 12 minutes to get home from school, and I kept to that rule through high school.”
