I really thought that I would have a better chance of sleeping the entire night in Bed last night, but it was not to be. As mentioned in yesterday’s Blog, it seems my Shoulder Pain is increasing almost Daily, meaning that I might not be able to ween myself off some of these Medications, until after the Corrective Surgery is over. That also means that if you are in Pain, you are not going to sleep. It has been a couple of Weeks but I finally had to use the ZzzQuil at 5:30 this morning, to get relief to both my problems.
Another thing I mentioned last night, was that we had the Alarm set for 8:00. Strangely, I heard it, seconds after it started beeping. It was not the first time I only had that little sleep. Try doing it for months on end. Kathy took a little more convincing to get up, but the reminder that she was going out with Karen, had her up in no time.
The
temperature was only 57
F (14
C)
when we headed off. Since Karen reads the Blog,
she knew that Kathy needed to go shopping for Pants.
They checked a number of stores, before
heading back to Giant
Tiger
located at the Tecumseh
Mall.
Kathy did not get any Pants
but did get a couple of nice Tops.
They also had a lite lunch while they were out. When they arrived,
Karen checked Kathy’s closet,
finding quite a number of Pants
on the hangars just waiting to be worn.
Since the loss of a Good Friend and fellow Welder, I have been lax in returning to the Local. Since a new contract was just ratified, I needed to find out what kind of Benefits are still available as a Retiree. Longtime Receptionist Madeline, finally retired leaving all new faces to take care of the Members. I ended up with a pile of reading to bring home. I like to read things that are right to the point, but when I started reading the double talk in the Contracts, I could scream. You gain this, but you lose that.
We sat down to enjoy Bacon/Chicken Veggie Wraps for supper, just as the “6 o’clock Local News” started. According to the Weather Guesser, we have officially started the Autumn Season and have the temperatures and shorter days to prove it.
Our entertainment for the night was brought to us on the “History Channel”. We remembered a lot of the things they talked about today. We were just kids.
Another appointment tomorrow, then things will start to pile up.
