Special Celebration.

I turned the AC on before going to bed last night, only to turn it off by 3:00 this morning. Since Showers tend to invigorate me, I have them in the morning, which helps me to wake up.

With Plans for the day, I was washed and ready by 8:30. It was only minutes later that Kathy noticed my absence and came out to join me. That was when she found the Card next to her morning Juice and Pastry. She was happy that I remembered, but sad that she didn’t get me one.

We finished our Teas at the Computers, before heading out the door by noon. Though it was mostly Sunny, when we walked out the back door of the building the Thirty MPH Wind Gusts had us practically running to the Car, Try that with a Cane!

There would be no Coupons on this special day, and we didn’t eat at a Fast Food. Giving Kathy the choice, she decided we’d eat at Swiss Chalet which we have not eaten at in Nine Years. It took some time to get re-acquainted with the menu. Having gone in thinking we’d have one thing, we both enjoyed something totally different. Kathy had a Chicken Caesar with no Croutons, while I had Teriyaki Chicken Stir Fry. No Fries were consumed in this meal. It was Twenty-Three Years ago today that Kathy and I started our adventure of Marriage together. It was pretty bad for a while when all our kids called us the Newly-WedsFeels like Yesterday!

We could barely move when we left, so I used the excuse that I needed something “On Sale” at Princess Auto. The walking helped us to feel not quite as sluggish, but I ended up with a Rain-Cheque for my Load Straps.

We’ve noticed that the Tecumseh Mall is adding a Micheal’s store to the building. The original Micheal’s in Windsor is directly next to PA, and they were advertising Clearance Prices on all their windows. Thinking they might be moving we did more walking looking to find something that we just needed to bring home. That meant a lot more walking, where Kathy found a Candle to bring home, and I found T-Shirts to replace some I used for work. The Cashier confirmed the new store will be a smaller second location.

Though it was getting harder for me to walk, we both felt less bloated after walking off lunch.

We watched a couple of Specials this evening, while only having our Medication for supper. I think we’ll be ready to eat breakfast in the morning.

Wet Start.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Sometimes Kathy gets to bed as I finish publishing the Blog, which is what happen last night. I could feel the humidity in the air as I closed the Balcony Door, so I turned on the AC before joining her. We both started the night on top of the Bed Sheets holding hands, but by 2:00 we were both undercover. When I woke again at 3:00 from uncontrollable shivering, I shut the AC off. When we woke later the Apartment, was still quite cool.

As forecasted, when we woke there was plenty of Thunder going on to our North. The Weather Network Radar showed the storm leaving around noon, not the all-day Rain that had been called for. The Humidex would later reach 102 F (39 C) and with no errands to run, we busied ourselves inside.

We reversed our meals today, enjoying Veggie Wraps for lunch, then a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza with extra Pineapple and Mozzarella Cheese for supper.

With our Local News being pre-empted by a Golf Tournament, we finished our evening watching a couple of Hallmark Movies.

Tomorrow will be a cooler day, which we will enjoy while we are out celebrating.

Bills and Pills.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Last night we both took a Half Dose of ZzzQuil to help us sleep. Kathy slept soundly the entire night, but at 3:00, I was up taking the other Half Dose so that I could sleep the rest of the night.

Though I managed an earlier start than Kathy, the best I could do was to start getting things ready for breakfast. Most people like Peanut Butter on Buttered Toast, but Kathy proved to me that it tastes better with Butter on top of the Peanut Butter. It really does taste better.

Since it was a late breakfast, it ended with a late lunch, where we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza with Extra Pineapple.

After cleaning the Dishes, we were soon heading out to run some errands.

First, we had to go pick up Kathy’s medication that I called into Health First Pharmacy on Wednesday. Everything was ready and with the new Contract between Ford Motor Canada and the National Union, there was no Co-Pay necessary.

Our next stop was at Guardian Storage to pick up our Mail before it gets locked in for the Canadian Long Weekend.

Next on the list was Motor City Community Credit Union, to make our monthly payments. Thankfully our Government Cheques come in before my Pension.

Leaving there right in the middle of Rush Hour had me travelling around the back of the building to get to the Grocery Store. There was a big uproar about high food costs while some were reporting Higher Profits than before Covid. The Government put a stop to that, but it’s still expensive.

Rush Hour Traffic was just inching along so we stopped at Burger King to use a Coupon for supper.

We had just finished putting everything away in the Apartment, when the 6 o’clock Local News came on. It was after that, we remembered to take our evening pills.

We watched another Murder Mystery for evening entertainment.

As I was turning down the bed, I remembered an errand that we forgot to do today, and tomorrow is supposed to be wet all day. We’ll figure it out.
