Updates and Sorough Called.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

With only a slight adjustment to the Nighttime Mickey, we both managed to sleep well enough, that we awoke feeling well rested this morning.

When we looked outside this morning, there wasn’t a Cloud in the sky and the temperature was already 70 F (21 C). When checking The Weather Network, there was a Warning about possible Tornadoes. When you checked further, it was for Southern Manitoba and Northern Ontario, more that Two Hundred Miles north of our location. The bad thing was, as soon as Ontario was mentioned, Kathy started worrying.

We enjoyed having Muffins for breakfast. It has been a few weeks since we had them for that meal.

Last night I had issues shutting my Computer down and this is not the first time. That meant I recognized what was happening. What then happens the next day when you go to shut the Computer, a message ask about Updating along with other actions. It never asks the night that it causes the problems. It also was a slow start up, so as soon as we got ready to have lunch, I hit the Update and Restart button and walked away.

After having Beans on Toast for lunch, I was able to make the Computer work the way it should and a lot faster.

We took another break later, so we could soak our feet in an Epson Salts Bath. It also gives me the chance to give Kathy a Pedicure that used to be done by a Podiatrist Nurse. Mary had showed me how to do it for when we would go away, but when Covid hit, she stopped coming. I did the best I could with my own feet, but the next time I see our Family Doctor, will ask to be sent to Podiatrist, until my Hip/Leg Issue is resolved.

The Humidex made the temperature feel like 90 F (32 C) but with the Southwesterly 32 MPH Wind blowing straight into our open Balcony Door, we were more than comfortable.

We were just getting ready to watch the 6 o’clock Local News, when our daughter called, just to see how we are doing.

We had a Modified Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pizza for supper. By adding extra Mushrooms and Cherry Tomatoes it was not only Tasty but Filling as well.

The News had just finished, when Sorough called, to give me Good News and Bad News of what was happening at Windsor Feedscrew. He said Mile had hired an Alcoholic Welder to replace him, when he returns to school in September. Unfortunately, the guy is not interested in learning how to run the Plasma Transfer Arc, the job he was hired to do. I had to calm Sorough down and it only took a Half Hour. I told him to give the guy more time and if he still has the same attitude in a couple of weeks, to simply put it back in Mile’s hands. I’m certain that I’ll hear from him again. I don’t mind, because it inspires him to reach his goal of becoming a Journeyman Welder.

I need to get things done on the Truck tomorrow.

  2. Just wondering if you have a handle on when you folks might get to toll out again. It feels good to finally have a rolling time again in my life.
