Boy, was I Dumb. Since I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open long enough to post our Blog last night, I did not take the ZzzQuil to guaranty my sleep. It was only minutes before I did fall asleep, but less than an Hour later, I was wide awake. It was not the Hip/Leg Pain that woke me, but my Imagination running wild and no matter how hard I tried after Two Hours, I had to get up and take a dose of ZzzQuil. Fifteen Minutes later I was asleep.

After a lite breakfast we were headed out the door to Dyna-Care Labs to have Kathy’s One Month Blood Test done. That ended up being a waste of time because her first Test was done in April and they could not do the second test in the same month.???? Four Weeks does not count, so unless the Doctor specifies Four Weeks, they won’t do it.

We were both tired, so we headed back towards home. We stopped at Guardian Storage for our Mail, before going for lunch. Since Kathy’s Birthday is April 29th and mine is May 1st, every year since we have been together, we always celebrate on the April 30th.

We went to Pita Pit, where we took advantage of their $7.00 Special. You choose what you want so it suits your taste. Since there is a High School nearby, there was a steady stream of students coming in for a Health Fast Food experience.

We were stuffed when we left, so we headed across the street to Walmart. Kathy did her walking exercise, while I picked up a few more food stocks. Though I didn’t do much walking by the time Kathy joined me at the Checkout my Hip/Leg was telling me to sit down.

Back at the Apartment we settled in at our Computers to see what we missed this morning. It was after the News had finished before we had a Snack in place of our supper.

It had been Sunny all day with a high of 72 F (22 C) and the forecast is calling for a repeat tomorrow. We are also expecting a Wet weekend.

Kathy would like to thank our readers who sent Birthday Wishes.

Our sleep pattern last night was perfect, with me only waking twice to roll over. (Every move I make, causes Hip/Leg Pain, that instantly wakes me.)

Even though today was Kathy’s Birthday, I’d barely got the Balcony Blind open when she joined me. We enjoyed some Hot Cross Buns that we got from a Local Bakery, for breakfast. Those are normally only available during Lent and we missed them this year.

It felt good seeing the Sun shining and listening to the Birds singing this morning. As we were about to sit at our Computers, Kathy found my Birthday Card to her along with a Dark Chocolate Candy Bar (Her Favourite), that just seemed to have magically arrived overnight.

We managed to get caught up on our blog reading first thing before reading the News. Kathy also received more greetings and calls from the rest of the family.

When I started looking what to make for lunch Kathy suggested soup, so I was able to serve Italian Wedding Soup (Her Favourite) along with a small bowl of Fresh Pineapple for dessert. Kathy kept telling me how much she enjoyed her Girls Day Out with Karen and Melissa yesterday. They used their day off to help her celebrate a day early.

Wanting something special for supper, I Sauteed Potato Slices, Brussels Sprouts and Bacon for our meal. Our beverage was Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine) and topped off by a slice of Tuxedo Cake (Also Her Favourite).

As we were watching the 6 o’clock Local News, Clouds started filling the sky. The Weather Guesser said we were minutes away from seeing Rain and that was all we had, was minutes before it started.

Kathy didn’t like the fact that I insisted on doing the dishes by myself. Part of her Birthday Treatment, that was My Favourite thing to do. (My Hip/Leg did object later.)

With more overnight Rain in the forecast, we’ll keep our fingers crossed that it ends before we have to go out in the morning.

Separately Busy.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Even after taking extra care to get a proper night’s sleep, it wasn’t without a few glitches. Since we also needed to be at our daughter’s home by 10:00, I took the extra precaution of setting the Alarm. Of course, when your sleep is disturbed during the night, it’s natural to sleep deeper in the morning.

Looking out the Balcony Door it had a resemblance of yesterday’s weather. After a breakfast snack we were headed for the door. I had Kathy wait at the rear entrance and brought the Car around. (I had more time to dry than she did.)

Kathy was at Karen’s house in Tecumseh with time to spare. She was there for a Girls Day Out, so I had time on my hands.

It has been way too long since I have gone to Planet Fitness, because Kathy always thinks that I will hurt myself by exercising, but it’s acutely the opposite. Richard my Chiropractor and the former Surgeon both told me I have to keep moving. All the Centurions that are interviewed as to what they credited their Longevity to, they all said keeping physically busy was the answer.

I only managed Ten Minutes on the Recumbent Cycle before my Hip/Leg said I’d reached my limit. I then spent the next Forty-Five Minutes using the Resistance Machines at low settings, before I started having Muscle Spasms. Not wanting to overdo it the first time out, I headed for the Car, where I sat until regaining my balance for a bit.

There was a light drizzle falling so I headed to Wendy’s where I used a Coupon for lunch. While I was eating the Rain got so intense it looked like twilight outside. Even the employees were looking out the windows, wondering what was happening. I just ate gradually and by the time I finished eating, the Rain had stopped, the Clouds were breaking up.

When I got home, I was busy catching up on my Blog Reading. It was nearly 4:00 when Kathy walked in the door.

Our daughter Karen and daughter-in-law Melisa, along with Kathy went out to a local greenhouse called Colasanti’s. Being a weekend there were lots of families with children. Not only do they sell a huge selection of Plants and Planters, they also have a small indoor amusement area to entertain children, while the parents shop. They also have a selection of dining to feed the weary. This was also a way to have an early Birthday Celebration for Kathy’s big day tomorrow. Thank You both for giving her a day to remember.

It was past 7:00 when we finally shared a Medium Store-Bought Thin-Crust Pizza for supper.

We finished the evening watching a Harry Potter spin-off called Incredible Beasts.
