Getting Out In The Heat.

After using my Recliner for just a Half Hour last night, I managed to spend nearly Seven Hours sleeping in Bed. There was only a single time that Kathy stood next to the Bed asking if it was time to get up yet (2:00), but I simply answered it was too early and she lay back down.

We started our day at 8:00 by having Toast with Blueberry Jam for breakfast. Minutes later we had our Coffees at our Computers. There was plenty to catch up on between E-Mails, Blogs and World News.

After making a list of Food Stocks that needed to be purchased, we enjoyed a bowl of Italian Wedding Soup for lunch along with a couple of Shortbread Cookies to go with our Tea.

With our Humidex reaching the Century Mark this afternoon, Kathy pushed herself to walk out to the Car with me.

Our first stop was the Dollarama not far from home. Lots of people were doing exactly like us gathering Refreshments along with a few snacks.

From there it was off to the Zehr’s grocery store to add to our Produce, Dairy, Canned Goods and a few Frozen Foods.

I sent Kathy next door to the Bulk Barn to purchase some of her Healthy Snacks while I loaded the Car. I barely moved it closer to her location when she came out. Even for that short time outside, our shirts were on the damp side.

We were just drying off, when we had to load all our purchases in our Folding Two-Wheeled Shopping Cart. I’m worried that one of these days, the wheels are going to fold under the weight of its load.

In the Apartment, there was no time to relax, because of the heat some of the Frozen Food was starting to soften, even though it was packed in Insulated Shopping Bags.

Another thing we have not had in a long time is a Submarine Sandwich. While cooling off in the grocery store, we had stood by their Deli Case. Their Subs were the same as most shops but another Sandwich caught my eye. It was a Foot Long, Five Inches Wide and Three Inches Thick. We thought we could have Two Meals at home. I sealed half back in the Fridge and we shared the other half. I should have allowed for Six Helpings instead of Four. They did not skimp of the sliced Meat and tasted good, but unless we are sharing with Guests, we won’t buy this very often.

The Weather Guesser on the “6 o’clock Local News” showed some very wet weather heading our way for the next Seven Days, but then it should cool down a bit. If we can’t work outside, we’ll find something else to do.

It seems many of the Networks have changed their evening programming, which has left us with nothing of interest to watch. Back to the Computers.
