Tired of all the tossing and turning, I was up by 6:10 this morning. Figuring that was the perfect time to get caught up on my E-Reading, I got set up at my Computer. Unfortunately my eyes kept on Blinking and each time they opened the Clock had changed.
When Kathy finally joined me, we settled for Cereal for breakfast. That finished off the Milk so it was added to our Grocery List that we planned to fill this afternoon, but that all changed.
Our WiFi connection has been getting worse with time, but normally I can get the computers back On-Line within minutes. Today, my Computer dropped the connection while I was still reading, then Kathy’s disconnected. No matter what I did there was no way it would work and the lights on the Modem kept flickering. Since it affects me more than Kathy, I made the decision it was time to get it replaced.
Trying to clean more of the Freezer out, we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Spinach Pizza for lunch.
We were soon out the door and headed over to the Devonshire Mall where the Cogeco Outlet was located. With all the Road Construction nearby, we had to drive past the entrance, turn into a Car Dealership and drive back.
I was surprised to find a Handicap Parking Spot close to the door, but I then realized that I had forgotten my Wallet. Walking inside the Mall something was strange. The store front was closed, the sign was gone and there was nothing saying where they had relocated to. Seeing a Janitor, I asked “Where did they go”? They left the Mall and moved back to their building they had left Twenty Years ago.
Kathy didn’t know where that was, but I did and we were getting out of the Car less that Twenty Minutes later. Of course, they always want you to call Tech Support first, so they have you trying everything that won’t let your Computer do anything afterwards. When she heard how it was working she exchanged it for a Refurbished Unit nicknamed “The Fridge” Because it resembles a small Fridge.
Before we left Kathy got a call saying her Hearing Aides were ready to be picked up. First things first, we headed back home to get my Wallet, then headed to Hearing Life in Tecumseh. Tina was all smiles and Kathy was happy with the results of the adjustment.
We decided to collect our Mail so we took the short cut on the Express Way. Warning, more Road Construction had the road down to a single lane and the off ramp partially blocked. Once I was able to merge onto the Parkway it would take Fifteen Minutes to make the next turn, that normally took One, because the Traffic Light was out. It was being worked on and everyone remained calm and treated it as a Four Way Stop to get where they needed.
Finally
pulling in the driveway at Guardian Storage,
everything looked right but it wasn’t. It was locked up so we
couldn’t get our Mail. We’ll try again on
Friday.
We headed in the opposite direction, to avoid the Traffic Jam and reached Wendy’s in Ten Minutes. We enjoyed their Burgers for supper, but by the time we left, Traffic was crawling past. We headed straight for home.
The 6 o’clock Local News showed we’ll see more warm wet weather, before the temperature gets cool for another week. Later we watched “Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.”
While watching “Chicago Med” the building Fire Alarm went off. These Alarms are so loud we dawned our Hearing Protection. With nothing visible on our floor we stayed put. Walking down Eight Floors was not on our list of things to do. After Twenty Minutes, the Alarm was finally shut off and looking down at the parking lot, you could see the Emergency Flashers reflecting off the vehicles.
Our Alarm Clock is set and Kathy is already in bed, because we’ll both be busy tomorrow.
By the way, we haven’t lost connection since installing this Modem.

Krackers
My brother bought me a really cheap dictionary for my birthday.
I couldn’t find the words to thank him.
It's interesting how we all have become so attached to the internet. It definitely makes life easier.
