That’s A Relief, Big Progress and A Refreshing Walk.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

On my way to work the only thing I could think of was how the Manifolds would mount inside the Washer with all those Pipes. As soon as I saw the Line Leader before the start of the shift I mentioned going inside for Ten Minutes for more measurements. After drawing another sketch with dimensions it only added to the confusion of how it would all go together.

My next step was to clean the Grease that had again leaked from the Drive-Motor before adding more in. It’s amazing how the Line Workers are all greeting me with smiles on their faces in the mornings since I started greeting them. The fact that Kharen the Supervisor has yet to return from his Vacation might be another reason for their smiles.

There were Three Carriers needing attention this morning which worked out well. Just as I was finishing them Paul the Owner came in to inform me he was on his way to pick up the Replacement Drive-Motor. He mentioned needing me to check the Drive Belts so they could be replaced as well. This gave me a chance to question him on the Washer Project and the positioning of the Pipes. When I raised concerns about using the Plastic Pipes in the basket as they were he stopped me. They had been made for another project but never used so he wanted me to chop them up and use the pipes and not the Fittings already glued in place.

Can you imagine how happy I was to be chopping those things up because now it made sense of how it would work. Now that I totally understand how it will go together it would give me room to spare. Before I was trying to figure out how to get it all together but now it’s child’s play.

The New Drive-Motor arrived by noon and I soon had it uncrated. I wonder if it will last Twenty-Nine Years like the last one.

Kathy had Italian Wedding Soup for lunch along with
an Apple, Pecan Tart and Pudding Cup for dessert.

When I spoke to Kathy during my lunch she was considering going for a walk. I highly encouraged it just reminding her to wear her Knee Brace since it’s been a while that she walked outside. I knew it would lift her spirits as well since I have the Car. We’ll both be happy once the Truck is repaired.

The Line Leader stopped the Line long enough for me to use my Phone to get a Picture of the information on the Belts that I needed. I went back to the Compound where I finished the List of parts to finish the Washer Project as well as the Drive-Motor replacement.

By the end of the shift Paul was happy with the progress I’d made on the piping but suggested using different Elbows. I greased the Drive-Motor for the Third Time Today before leaving so production could finish their shift.

When I walked in the Apartment Kathy was excited about the Walk she took. Even though it wasn’t far just getting out had lifted her spirits. Someone else had installed Book Exchanges in their yard facing the Ganatchio Trail. One was for Adults along with One for Children. She also checked out the Detroit River and what was happening.

We had a Store Bought Medium Thin Crust Hawaiian Pizza for supper and later had a Pear as a healthy dessert.

Our 6 o’clock Local News today reported 51 New Coronavirus Cases bring the Active Cases to 501 of which 9 were Unvaccinated in the Windsor/Essex Region.

The Weather Network showed we had a Humidex of only 82 F (28 C) with more pleasant days to follow this week.
