It felt good to sleep in until 8:00 this
morning and to feel well rested to top it off. I didn’t even have things ready
for breakfast when Kathy started heading downstairs. Instead of having Coffee we chose to have a Hot Apple Cider drink in its place.
After getting lots of reading completed on
the Computer I completed my inside
chores before heading outside by 10:00. There was some fine-tuning to do on the
first set of gates before starting the second. As anyone who has ever custom
built anything knows when parts are not factory made to just put in place, each
one has to be hand fitted. The Humidex
was already at 97 F (36 C) by 11:30 and I was out of water.
Before starting to weld the Latch on
the second set of gates I thought of getting another drink.
Kathy was nearly ready to call me in for
lunch. She had been busy creating some Chicken
Salad Wraps that would help us get through until supper. She planned to do
some cleaning after I went outside again.
Back outside there were dark looking Clouds filling the Sky and the Wind was
really picking up but I was still going to try to tack these parts in place. Just
as I lowered my Shield it felt like
someone had hit me with a Water Balloon but
I knew better. I just grabbed as many tools as possible and moved them under
the Gazebo. With everything safe in Two Loads I just made it inside the Trailer when the heavy Rain started.
It was on and off for the next Three Hours so when it finally looked
like it had stop raining I put everything away for the day. Checking the
forecast showed the temperature was down to 82 F (28 C) by 4:00 and
our Rain Gauge showed we’d had a Quarter Inch of Rain.
Since this was Friday Kathy had me grilling
a nice piece of Pacific Salmon while
she was cooking some Peas and Homemade Home-Fries for our sides.
After cleaning the Dishes together, we sat down to watch the movie “American Sniper”. It showed how Chris
Kyle felt it was his duty to protect his brothers in arms and how Four tours of Duty took its toll on his Family
and his Mental Well-Being. We both
gave it Two Thumbs Up.
Tomorrow will be a different kind of busy
day. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

It's funny how it can be so hot and sunny one minutes, then be pouring down rain the next. I'm experiencing the same weather. RUN when it starts or you'll be soaked in minutes.
ReplyDeleteWe could use some of that ran. The boys that are fighting that large wildland fire would like to see it. But doesn't look like there going to be getting any time soon instead warmer weather close to hundreds and low humidity. Stay cool injoy that fish got four the other day. Smoked three and a half barbeque the other half boy it was good.
