Smaller Size, Higher Prices and Happy Graduation Celebration.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Luckily, we weren’t in a hurry to be anywhere this morning, but we didn’t have a lot of extra time on our hands either. We continued cleaning up Cookies, Mandarin Oranges and Yogurt Cups, to make room for a fresh fill up in the coming days.

When it came time for lunch, we ate a Ready-Made Pasta Salad. We probably could have stretched it out, but because we didn’t know when we’d be eating later, We ate the Whole Thing.

We were out the door by 12:30 with a list of places to go. The first place was to Vital-Aire. Last week during a rushed stop, I got CPAP Supplies but left without double checking the order. (My Fault!) The next day we found that the new Hoses were shorter and smaller in diameter. Taira was out today but Ron made quick work of exchanging them for what we really needed.

The next stop was the Windsor Heart Institute, where we dropped off the Heart Monitor that Kathy has been wearing since Monday. It was a matter of removing it, and dropping it into a Drop Box inside the building. They are collected multiple times throughout the day and they will be analyzed by the Cardiologist before her next appointment.

Somewhere, we have managed to misplace our Tape Gun. Instead of continuing to fret over it, we simply thought we’d replace it. We stopped at Princess Auto only to find they no longer carry them, so I may need to shop On-Line. We didn’t walk out empty handed, because I found a replacement Mouse for my Computer and some Key Clips at great prices.

We were thirsty and starting to feel slightly hungry, so we stopped at McDonald’s to fix the problem. Even with increased prices the Fillet of Fish Sandwiches and Milk Shakes have still gotten smaller in size.

From there we tried heading to Essex, but because of Road Construction the Thirty Minute trip ended up taking nearly an Hour. Not knowing the layout of the town as well as the layout of the city, we needed to do some exploring to finally locate the Essex Arena. There were all kinds of cars and people gathered at the end of the building, so that was where we parked. Our daughter-in-law Jen had told us to be there for 5:00 and since we always try to arrive early it was 4:20. We then found out things would not start until 6:00. Last night I had a restless sleep, so I ended up having Snap in the Car, that left me feeling refreshed when I woke. Good thing, because we had to walk around the building to get in.

We went inside and slowly made our way up to the Upper Viewing Area, only to be surrounded by families that we didn’t know. We finally got a Text from Jen, only to see her and the family sitting opposite from where we were. It would have been harder to get out of the seats we were in and get to the other side of the building, so we stayed where we were for the ceremony.

We’ve been to quite a number of these Graduations over the years but were surprised by this one. They read the accomplishments of each Graduate, the Bursaries and Scholarships earned and what the end game to their education would be. There were the usual Hairdressers, Electricians, Plumbers, Mechanics, Millwrights, Doctors and even a Welder, but when it came to a Forensic Scientist and Police Officers there was a louder round of applause that erupted.

When it was finished, we made our way back to Jen’s home. Haigan was beaming from this experience. When he shook my hand, I nearly hit the floor, not because of his manly grip, but it felt like my Shoulder was about to pull out. I had to assure him, that I had failed to tell him about the injury and that I would be okay. There were snacks for everyone to enjoy.

It was after 9:00 before we headed for home. An Hour later we finally walked into our Apartment. We watched the “11 o’clock Local News” and I’m struggling to keep my eyes open.

Worse thing is I have to set the Alarm for tomorrow morning. Hopefully my Shoulder will feel better by then.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
