Friday The 13th Mishaps

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It wasn’t perfect but I did manage to sleep most of the night, the bad part was that we had to set the Alarm. I had barely got to the Kitchen when I could hear Kathy already making the Bed. After Cereal for breakfast, we took turns getting ready to go as our Coffees cooled. I basically got the weather report, so we knew what to wear.

I try to think that I’m not Superstitious even though there was an incident back in 1974 on Friday 13th. Since then I have considered them my lucky days. When we arrived at the Medical Center, we found the Elevator was “Out of Order”, so we had to use the Stairs. It wasn’t so bad for me, but Kathy struggled to make it to the Second Floor. Just as we got into the hallway my phone started ringing. It was Kelly from Advanced Rehabilitation Center (ARC) calling to say the Elevator was down and they would understand if I missed my appointment. I opened the door to their Office to say we were already there. They had only found the problem when they began opening for the day.

Kathy had brought a book to read but somehow had left her Reading Glasses at home.

It was easier going down the stairs, but Kathy’s Right Knee was starting to give her problems.

Thinking of collecting our Mail got shaken up quite a bit when the Road Construction on Tecumseh Road blocked off more access routes. The only thing we could do was go for an early lunch at Wendy’s. They were having problems with different Uber Drivers coming in every Five Minutes to pick up the Same Order for the Same Client. Then while the staff was getting set up for lunch, the one Cashier’s Sleeve hooked the handle on a Ladle and ended up with Chili all over the floor. We enjoyed our meal with no incidents.

Since Wendy’s was beyond the Construction Zone, we were able to drive back to Guardian Storage in order to get our Mail.

It was then a maze to avoid Construction Zones in order to reach Health First Pharmacy to pick up Kathy’s Prescriptions that were ordered on Wednesday. When the Pharmacist Assistant rang up the Medications, the display showed an expensive tab. She knew that it was not right because the same charge had shown up on the Previous Two Orders. She rang Kathy’s up again to a No Charge reading.

With Kathy’s Knee getting worse, I cancelled the idea of grocery shopping and dropped her off at the Front Entrance to our building, before going to park the Car.

Once inside the Apartment I had to update our Medication Spreadsheet so it will be easier to work with when I fill up our Doucettes. I’d barely finished that when I involuntarily had a quick Snap.

After reading all the latest Blogs we follow, we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pizza with extra Mushrooms added for supper.

Since we’ll be busy tomorrow, we watched a few episodes of “Monk” this evening, before watching the “11 o’clock Local News”.
