After having the RAF Ablation treatment, I mistakenly thought that I would then be Pain Free. Not quite! What would happen is the Pain in my Neck would slowly disappear for a while. When the Radio Frequency is added, it was so low that it was not felt. The Painful Part was when the Electrodes were inserted. They were guided with the use of an X-Ray Machine and if it was off by a smidgen, it had to be reset. A few of those times, I thought that I was about to pass out, even though the immediate area had been frozen. By bedtime that was completely worn off, so I took an Extra Strength Tylenol. Three Sleepless Hours later, I knew that I needed a ZzzQuil sleep aide and another Tylenol. I slept until this morning.

We enjoyed a breakfast Snack Bar and Yogurt, that held us past noon. With a Plan to go walking, the moment we left someone became very hungry. Our next stop was at Wendy’s where we had Chicken Nuggets, small Frosties and Seniors Soft Drinks for our lunch.

Back in the Car, we headed to the Riverfront Park at the foot of Pillette Avenue to walk along shore. The last time we were here, over a Month ago, the temperature was only 73 F (23 C) with Northwesterly Winds making it feel much colder. With this being the first official day of Summer, it felt exactly the same as it did in the Spring. Without any Jackets we only made it half the distance we did back then.

We drove a bit further west on Riverside Drive to another Park. This time we stayed in the Car, watching Freighters and Personal Watercraft plying the waters of the Detroit River. There were a number of Fathers teaching their Sons how to fish on Father’s Day, but with the Northwesterly Winds I didn’t see any catches being reeled in.

We headed back to the Apartment to warm up a bit. That only lasted for Thirty Minutes when Kathy started saying she wanted to see her mother’s house. Telling her that we saw it Six Times since April. Somewhere she heard that the house was moved to New LaSalle, not the old LaSalle. That term is strictly a Marketing Ploy to attract people to the growing housing and commercial expansion of the town.

When she started threatening to drive herself, I relented. When we drove past the old Windsor Crossing, she asked why we were there. On the other side of the Round-About there was the sign, welcoming everyone to the New LaSalle. The only people that could afford those homes, would be Business Owners or high paid Executives. I asked if she saw her Mother’s House but she said “No”. We drove through until we were on Malden Road before turning onto Sprucewood. A minute later we were standing in the driveway, just as her brother Danny rode up on his Bicycle. We stood there talking for nearly a Half Hour, before sharing Hugs and Handshakes we said “Good-Bye. Like every other time we were less than a Mile down the road when she said, That wasn’t her brother Danny”. We rode in silence the rest of the way home.

We had Perogies for supper with Cookies for dessert. We later watched “Sister Act” with Whoopi Goldberg.

I just looked out the window and things are not as dry as they were earlier. As a fact, we are forecasted to have Severe Thunderstorms, all night, morning and afternoon. I knew I should have brought our Kayak home.

We hope all the Fathers out there had a good day.
