After only spending Twenty-Nine Minutes in my Recliner, I was happy to spend the next Seven Hours in Bed, sometimes holding hands with Kathy. I actually woke up feeling refreshed. I was up before the Alarm went off, so I immediately headed to my Computer. There were Two things I needed to do, first was to check The Weather Network and fill in my On-Line Questionnaire. We’d had Flurries overnight, but the temperature was at 37 F (3 C) this morning, so it was starting to melt away. I also noted that later this afternoon it would drop Below the Freezing Mark. No matter how often I tried getting into my E-Mail for the Questionnaire, it was not happening, leaving me with no other choice but to Restart the Computer itself.
That gave me time to serve breakfast before waking Kathy. It was only Cereal topped with sliced Bananas. By the time we had eaten and moved our Coffees to the Computers I was finally able to do the Questionnaire and take a picture of the Q-Pass. This is such a time saver. Because of the earlier delay, I barely had time to take my shower, before we headed out the door.
Luckily
the temperature made cleaning the accumulation off the Car,
but the Northerly
Winds nearly
blew us over. The roads themselves were clean with no Slush
to cause havoc.
After taking the Parkway to the Expressway across the City, we arrived at the Canadian Blood Services location without any problems, however the parking lot was quite full. Inside, people were waiting to be processed. I have never had to wait beyond my appointed time at this location, until today. Having done the Questionnaire at home saved a lot of time being processed, meaning I was getting hooked up sooner.
Kathy had forgotten a Book to read and since the lounge area was full, Dita set up a chair for her to sit by me. She had a lot of questions about the process which is a lot different than when you donate Whole Blood. By the time we left I had made my 158th Blood/Plasma Donation.
With the Drizzle coming down, we stopped at Pita Pit for lunch. As I have said many times in the past, this is Healthy Fast Food. There was a constant flow of people coming in for their lunch breaks while we sat watching.
Back on the Expressway, it wasn’t long before we arrived at Guardian Storage. After collecting our Mail, they presented me with my Amazon Order. I had tracked its delivery the entire day yesterday, but it did not show any movement until it showed Delivered, 5 Minutes after the Guardian Storage Office closed for the day.
Kathy needed to do some Christmas Shopping, so I dropped her off at Walmart, while I went across the street to Dollarama and the Bulk Barn, to pick up a few food stocks. Returning to Walmart, I picked up some Canned Goods before waiting in the Car. When Kathy was finished she approached the Car from the rear, so I would not see what she had purchased.
As we were headed for home, the Rain turned to Flurries. I dropped her off at the front entrance so she could bring her purchases upstairs. After parking the Car and gathering the food stocks I had purchased, the Wind nearly blew me over as I headed for the entrance. It wasn’t until I was in the Apartment that I realized the bag of Canned Goods was still in the Car. I added another layer before going out to retrieve it. I was still cold.
After
putting things away, Kathy worked in the Bedroom
wrapping Gifts,
while I set up a New
CPAP Mask
with the Amazon
Padding.
Personally, it is not a Heavy
Padding,
but it is better than not trying anything at
all.
We had Macaroni and Cheese for supper, while watching the “6 o’clock Local News”. Looks like we may see another mild day in a Week.
After cleaning up the Dishes, we watched the movie “Red One” with Wayne Johnson.
Not sure what tomorrow holds for us.
