Sleepless, Pills and More Groceries.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Last night did not turn out the way it should have. I slept for an Hour in my Recliner before going to bed. Then when I got up at 5:00 and returned to my Recliner I slept again, until I started my day. All the time I lay in bed trying to sleep, I could only stare into the darkness and pray to fall asleep.

Kathy joined me before 8:00 after sensing my absence. I had just finished moving Pills around in Kathy’s Doucettes, so it would at least make it easy for her next week. She was also greeted by the Sun filling the room, which helped to not only wake her up, but to give her something to look forward to doing. Having spent Winters in the South and Southwest, only reinforced our dislike of the weather and shorter days that fill this season.

After having Raspberries on our Cereal we moved to the Computers with our Coffees. It was only seconds after 9:00 when Health First Pharmacy called to say there was some Medication waiting for Kathy to pick-up. Once we finished our Coffees we got ready to leave.

There was no Breeze when we went out so that helped us feel comfortable upside without having to bundle up.

I had intended to talk to the Manager when I walked into the Pharmacy this morning but he wasn’t there and neither were there any new faces working behind the counter. The Assistant Manager recognized me and had me heading out the door in less than a Minute. Once I was again inside the Car, I opened the bag to find the Medication that the Trainee, told me yesterday we could not have for another Two Weeks. I wonder if she had been monitored and reprimanded?

With Winter Weather heading our way starting tomorrow, I suggested we pick up our Mail at Guardian Storage. For the Third Time in a Month we needed to go to the Credit Union to make a deposit. We are really starting to enjoy this.

Looking at the time I decided we’d beat the Lunch Rush and went to Popeye’s for our’s. We had their Mini Chicken Sandwiches and shared an order of Blackened Cauliflower, from their $4.00 Menu.

We finally made it to the Credit Union to find the parking lot full, but the interior empty. Must have been for meetings. Maureen said lots of people had been in today, for this particular Cheque.

We went to the nearby Dollarama to get some walking exercise in and to look for the Breakfast Juice the other location didn’t have. We got our walking in, but they didn’t have the Juice either.

The only thing we could do, was to go to Zehr’s grocery store to continue rebuilding our food supplies. We found out that the Tax Holiday ends on Friday night, not Saturday.

It took over an Hour to put everything away, then another Half Hour to clean up the Fresh Strawberries we had just bought. I seems if I wait to clean them until the next day, many will be spoiled.

We again shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza with additional Pineapple and Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, while we watched the 6 o’clock Local News.

Later we watched Will Trent”, “High Potential” and “The Rookiefor entertainment. Since we’ve only just started watching these programs, we are just starting to understand the story lines.

Krackers

You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.
