That is twice, now and I hope to keep increasing that number. That is the number of nights that I by taking my Nighttime Medications earlier than usual, actually went to sleep within minutes of trying to do so. Since I have just taken those for tonight, I have to hope that this gets published before I fall asleep.
Though the Alarm was the reason we woke so early this morning, we both seemed to wake feeling refreshed. We only drank our Breakfast Juice to wash down our Medications. With our Food Stocks dwindling, the Plan was to have breakfast out. While Kathy went to get dressed, I went On-Line to fill in my Questionnaire. Imagine my surprise when it was not there, but a reminder for next week was.
When I Donate Blood, they reschedule my next appointment while I lay there. Then an E-Mail is sent to verify the appointment, after which we mark our Calendars. The only thing missing this morning, was the Questionnaire. With other things accumulating, we accepted next week as my newly appointed date.
We were out the door shortly after 9:00 and stuck to the original Plan to have breakfast out. Thinking it could be hours before we ate lunch, I thought that we could skip it entirely. We stopped at Wendy’s where I ordered us each Two Breakfast Wraps with Coffees. Kathy could not finish her second wrap. We took our Coffees with us.
Our next stop was the McDougall Medical Center, where I dropped off my new Glasses. They were ordered as Computer Glasses, but made as Reading Glasses, that would require me to look towards the Ceiling Light on the other side of the room, to focus on the screen. The problem is that my Neck could not take the strain of being in that position for that long a time. It was not the same person that I spoke to on the phone yesterday, so I had to repeat the explanation several times. Even when she read the Order Form where it said Computer Glasses, she could not see the problem.
Our next stop was at Guardian Storage to pick up our Mail. There was nothing on Saturday but today it was nearly full.
I had checked before we left home and made a mental Shopping List of supplies we needed to pick up. A stop at the Zehr’s grocery store, helped us to use up nearly an Hour of time. We found a number of things that we needed “On Sale” which helped to keep a bit of money in our wallets.
Since the Plows had not done a very good job of cleaning around where our Car is normally parked, I parked near our Truck. That allowed me to fill our Two Wheeled Folding Shopping Cart, before heading upstairs. When we left this morning, the temperature was 5 F (-15 C) with Northerly Winds, so we dressed to stay warm. This afternoon the temp had risen to 23 F (-5 C), so by the time we walked into our Apartment, we were both sweating. We had to layer down and take a break.
Once all those groceries were put away, I returned the Cart to the Car, then backed it into its own space before bringing the last bag of groceries upstairs.
The Weather Guesser on the “6 o’clock Local News” put a big smile on our faces, when he showed we could reach the Freezing Mark on Friday, before it cools down for the weekend. As he continued his forecast, he showed another Three Days even warmer next week.
We finally shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pizza for supper, Ten Hours after we had breakfast.
We watched a few episodes of “Mayday” this evening.
