Life seems to leave us all hanging once in a while and we really cannot come up answers that totally make sense. The biggest question is how our body works. Sometimes it does this and other times it does that, but most of all it keeps us guessing. My most challenging in the last few years is being able to simply sleep at night like many individuals. A few years back I had to experiment making a combination of Pain Medications along with a variable assortment on Over The Counter Sleep Aids that I called a Bedtime Cocktail. Bit by bit, things improved where I was not using anything as a sleep aid. When I used the ZzzQuil the other night, it was only half the dosage I needed before and the first in over a year. I have always avoided taking Medications of any kind because I know how it can affect the inner workings of the body. I have also avoided taking things for pain to the point of causing my own problems. With the help of Doctors that specialize in Nerve Blocking, the only mystery I have to solve now is just being able to sleep every night.
We settled for a Breakfast Snack Bar and Juice, so we had something to take with our morning Medications, because we had little time to sit and relax.
With another morning of extreme Cold, Kathy surprised me by actually waiting by the rear entrance, while I brushed off the Car. In that short time, someone parked along the curb leaving little room to go by, before disappearing inside the building. In another life of Forklift, Semi and RV driving, I slid through that space that had Kathy cringing at the thought.
Heading down Riverside Drive I mistakenly thought that the issue with Downed Powerlines had been resolved, so I used a side street to gain access to the other East/West corridor. It was not long before we were pulling into the parking lot at Health First Pharmacy. I dropped off the Prescription our Family Doctor gave me on Monday, with the intention to pick it up later in the day. When I returned to the Car we could not go anywhere. An Eight Ton Delivery Truck was blocking Three Cars from leaving. Figuring it would not take long we watched as the driver hand carried multiple loads of boxes into the building, that houses the Pharmacy and Two different Medical Clinics. Then I started hearing things getting tossed around inside the Van Body. We had been delayed for Twenty Minutes, so I asked what he was doing, before saying I had another Doctor’s Appointment and would appreciate he go to his next customer. By the time went in to grab my Prescription, the Truck and other Cars were gone.
It is always a PITA to find parking at the Medical Complex that houses the Windsor Pain Clinic. It is also a PITA that we are given appointment times and are not brought in for another Two Hours. At least I was given a few less Injections in my Neck and Shoulders before we left.
It was past
1:30 but the Optometrist
Office had called
saying my new Computer
Reading Glasses were
ready. We swung by the McDougall
Medical Center
and could not find a single Parking Spot.
I will try again next week, when the temperature is supposed to
improve.
We went to the city’s central Wendy’s location to have a well deserved Late Lunch. It may be the city’s smallest location but it has to be busier than our favourite location.
Knowing there was a Package waiting for pick up, we headed to Guardian Storage. As I emptied our Mailbox of all kinds of Junk Mail, Candace offered to Recycle it for me as she gave me our Package. Though Kathy did not know I had ordered anything, just seeing the shape had her all excited.
As we passed the local gas stations all the Gas and Diesel Prices were way up. Our next stop was at the Credit Union, where we started our end of the month bill payments and finished them off at the Bank.
A quick stop
at Dollarama
netted us our favourite Breakfast
Juice. It is hard to
find sometimes, and I do not want to pay the High
Prices that the
grocery store charges for the same sized product.
We were a little surprised to see how early the School Buses were bring the kids home from school. Even my children, walked to school, but it seems all elementary school children are bused today.
There was lots of reading to catch up on the Computers.
The “6 o’clock Local News” was on when we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pizza for our late supper. The Weather Guesser was issuing warnings of the Cold Temperatures we can expect over the next Two Days.
We later watched a couple of episodes of “Law and Order” as well as “The Pitt”. Definitely, a lot of twists and turns that hold your attention.

I've seen 'The Pitt' advertised and have been meaning to check it out. Now I guess I will.
