Better Late and They Called.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It was a good thing I’d set the Alarm before we went to Bed last night. It seems that when I do that, I somehow manage to wake up right on time. That’s exactly what happen this morning and it’s a good thing it did. I woke up in my Recliner in the Livingroom and the Alarm was in the Bedroom. If it had gone off, it would have thrown Kathy off balance for the rest of the day.

After a lite breakfast of a Muffin and Yogurt Cup, we only spent the time it took to drink our Coffees at the Computers, before heading out the door. One of the things I did do, was to complete a Questionnaire and taking picture of the QR Code.

The Wind Gusts blowing between the Two Buildings had quite the chilling affect, but the moment we sat in the Car, it felt like an oven. We drove across the City on Riverside Drive and enjoyed watching the boaters on the aqua blue Detroit River.

Lucking out by getting mostly Green Traffic Lights helped in our early arrival at the Canadian Blood Services on Howard Avenue. We were also surprised to see only a few people in donating their Plasma. Kathy made certain to bring a Book to read while she waited for me.

Last Month my donation was turned down, because of the uncertainty of my Shoulder. Though it is still bothering me, just mentioning that I was having Physiotherapy, I was excepted with open arms. Word was there were only a few people registered to go in today. As I’ve said before, One Donation can save up to Five Lives, and since it is a renewable resource that your body produces, Please take the time to Donate. The Life you save may be your own. I made my 151st Whole Blood/Plasma Donation today.

With our early arrival, we were able to be back on the road that much earlier. Our next stop was at Popeye’s to have lunch because I had a craving for their Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Kathy settled for a Chicken Wrap.

Driving back on Riverside Drive towards the Apartment, the water on the River looked more murky, but the temperature was getting Hot. We turned the Air Conditioning on in the Car to make it a comfortable drive. I dropped Kathy at the front entrance and the moment she opened her car door, it felt like we were near a furnace.

The Weather Network showed it was 88 F (31 C) but with the South Winds it felt like 99 F (37 C), with only 32% Humidity.

I finally got a call from Clear Imaging to see if I still needed the Ultra Sound on my Shoulder. They gave me the next available date in the beginning of July.

It was past 7:00 when we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Chicken Pizza for a late supper.

We later watched “Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire”, “Chicago P.D.” and the 11 o’clock Local News.

Today’s forecasted Rain started around 10:00 and should stop by Friday morning.

  1. When I was in the hospital I had enough transfusions to replace my entire blood supply two times over, so I do appreciate those who donate blood!
